FAO has raised the alarm over plastic pollution in agriculture.

IDROLOGICA SRL of Faenza (RA), together with SABIOMATERIALS, responds by offering farmers functional and eco-friendly solutions made of TERRALIX: biodegradable plant protections (“shelters”) and biodegradable tying systems (twist ties and tying tubes) are the first products to be launched on the market, with more to follow.

The aim is to provide an alternative to traditional plastic, which is not only one of the causes of soil contamination and harmful to wildlife, but also involves significant disposal costs for farmers.
